GHK-Cu (Glycyl-L-Histidyl-L-Lysine Copper, 10mg) is a naturally occurring copper-binding tripeptide first characterized in human plasma by Loren Pickart at the University of California in 1973. It is found naturally in human plasma, saliva, and urine — concentrating at wound sites during the acute repair phase — and has been the subject of four decades of published research spanning collagen synthesis, extracellular matrix remodeling, wound healing, antioxidant mechanisms, angiogenesis, and gene expression modulation across more than 31,000 human genes. Plasma concentrations decline by more than 50% between young adulthood and age 60, making it relevant to both wound repair and aging biology research.
